I recently came across a fairly addicting app called Foap.
Foap is an app that allows you to upload your pictures and sell them. It's not a ton of money, you earn $5.00 for each picture you sell and you can sell the same picture more than once. Now, submitting photos does not guarantee that they will be published, and being published does not guarantee a sale. It really is a lot of fun though! Other users rate your photos, and you in return rate theirs. It's 1-5 star rating system.
If this sounds like something you're interested in, you can download their app for free from iTunes or Google Play. I'm not including a link because the site you find online, while still accessible with your user name and password from the app, is for people who want to purchase the photos.
A mish-mash of all the great things I find along the way in this adventure through single parenthood.

WoofTrax
I recently adopted a rescue dog. While I was on the rescue's website I came across a page that listed ways you can contribute to the rescue without spending any money. One of the coolest was an app called WoofTrax.
First let me say, it's completely free to download and it's available at both iTunes and Google Play. You sign up, register your dog or dogs, and then when you walk your dog, you just go to the app and follow the prompts to let them know you've started your walk. When you finish your walk, again you just hit the stop button on the app timer. Not only does this app seem to be motivating people to get up and get moving, it also donates money to your selected animal rescue organization. I have to suggest looking up Paws For Life Rescue in Michigan, they brought this amazing dog into my life and I'm so grateful! There are tons of rescues to choose from and honestly, all of them can benefit from donations. There are ads on the app, but they're not annoying nor do they get in the way, and I assume that they are how WoofTrax manages to donate money when the app is free.

Leo's Pad
I'm not crazy about my 4 year old spending tons of time playing on my iPad. Even I have to admit though, there are times when it's a nice distraction and mommy needs to get something done without my little helper. However, for daughter, it's hard to find any app that will keep her entertained for any length of time. Then I found Leo's Pad. I was lucky enough to get to try it out for free in exchange for reviewing it, however my opinions are all my own.
It's a cute app. The graphics are really well done. A young Leonardo DaVinci guides kids through the activities, which while educational, are also a lot of fun. You can check it out for yourself on the Kidaptive website and I have a promo code for you to receive 20% off if you decide to buy! Just enter TRYLEO at checkout!

AT&T and the iPhone 5s
We recently upgraded our cell phones from the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 5S. My old phone was just not working as well as it did when it was new. It seems that each iPhone I've owned has started acting up right around the time my AT&T contract is coming up for renewal. Coincidence? Maybe, but it's happened a few times now. Anyways, so my husband and I went to a local AT&T store and bought new phones. I'm loving the iPhone 5S! The camera is seriously fantastic! The pictures it takes come out so well! I couldn't believe how much better it was than my old phone's camera. I don't know about everyone else, but I almost never bring my big DSLR camera anywhere. It's just not convenient. My husband probably wants to throttle me for the money I wasted on it, but lesson learned. I like using my phone to take pics and my kiddos seem to always be doing something pic worthy. So the phone itself I'm very happy with.
AT&T on the other hand, I'm not really all that thrilled. Their advertisement for 4 lines with unlimited calling and text, and a shared data plan is not real. The girl who helped us said as much. She said the only way it works out to that price is if you're hooking up AT&T phones that you already own or you want to pay full retail price for each phone and not get the discount they offer for renewing your contract. That seems a little dishonest to me, but I went ahead with the 4 lines anyway. My last complaint is actually a mistake on the part of the sales girl. She totally sold me on the insurance plan, but I was just looking over my receipt and it says that I declined insurance.

Easy Money With Ibotta
Ibotta is one of my all time favorite apps that I've downloaded from the app store! It's FREE to download and its really simple to use. All you do is check out the offers they have before you head out shopping, do the quick couple second activities for the products you're planning to purchase and then upload your receipt after shopping. Most of the time there are offers for items I planned to buy anyway, so why not get some cash back?! They send cash to your PayPal account immediately, once you reach the $5 cash out threshold, which happens pretty quickly! There's no catch and the money is real!
